I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! I’ve also worn them enough now that I understand how they really perform, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good almost immediately. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since my feet get sweaty. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Bonus, they’re already softened so your feet just adjust easily.
How durable are they?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose are just on another level. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the glitter on mine? Stunning.
Would you recommend them?
Absolutely! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is a better idea. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you get a pair you love. I went bold with sparkle, but a minimalist version would also look great.
